Thereby, all trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 3.500 kg or more will be required to pay a fee per kilometre driven on highways, provincial roads and selected regional roads in the Netherlands. Vehicle weight and CO2 emission class will determine the fee charged. This applies to both Dutch and foreign vehicles.
How does the truck toll work?
The toll system is designed to support more sustainable transport solutions in the Netherlands and beyond.
With the introduction of the truck toll in the Netherlands, the Dutch government is taking a concrete step to reduce road emissions and to encourage the transition to sustainable transport solutions. The collected fees will be invested to make road transportation more efficient and sustainable.
Tariff structure ColliCare Logistics B.V.
The costs directly related to the truck toll will be translated in a new surcharge for all cargo loaded effective 1st of July, 2026. As tariff structure, ColliCare Logistics Netherlands has decided to implement a cost per 100 kilo for part loads and groupage cargo. A fixed charge will be applicable for full trailers and for all full container movements a cost per kilometre will be charged.
