More than an international logistics model
Each year, VivaFloors imports approximately 400 containers, averaging 7 to 8 per week. Ray explains that ColliCare plays an indispensable role in this process, managing the container transport that goes directly to their warehouse. With its own inventory management and purchasing from Asia, it is important for VivaFloors to work with a reliable logistics service provider. ColliCare meets all their requirements in this regard. While reliability plays a key role, Ray points out that cost-efficiency and market competitiveness are equally important.

ColliCare further distinguishes itself in the way it handles complex situations. Ray emphasizes that during the COVID-19 pandemic, container availability was under pressure. Thanks to the close collaboration with the ColliCare team, VivaFloors was able to reorganize its transport flows and explore alternative solutions. Even in unexpected events, such as a collapsed warehouse roof, the collaboration proved its strength, with proactive efforts over the weekend to limit the impact on the freight.

According to Ray, the collaboration between VivaFloors and ColliCare revolves around short communication lines and a personal approach. Because ColliCare builds and maintains strong customer relationships, via for example, company visits and by organizing customer events, Ray explains that the threshold to reach out is low when there are questions or small challenges arise.

This personal approach enables both parties to act quickly. Flexibility and honesty ultimately make the difference within the supply chain and contribute to a company’s success.
Quality control and CO₂ insights
Ray further highlights that the collaboration goes beyond transportation alone. ColliCare also supports business development where that is possible. For example, the ColliCare team in China, led by Regional Managing Director Eddie Wang, helped to find a local partner to inspect product quality before the shipments are send to the Netherlands. This allows VivaFloors to safeguard its A-brand positioning and quality standards by identifying risks at an early stage.
In addition, VivaFloors also makes use of the annual CO₂ reports, with support provided by ColliCare employee Auktje Hofstede. Combined with their new energy-neutral office building and electric vehicles for employees, VivaFloors is actively working towards future-proof operations.
