Traffic Coordinator

We are starting up a new rail service between Italy and Sweden. In connection with this, we want to strengthen the organization within our rail department and in this context, we are looking for a traffic coordinator. The location will be in Falköping/Skövde.

We are looking for someone who have a background in logistics, traffic planning, or from similar services.

 

Responsibilities

As Traffic Coordinator,  you will primarily work with the planning and coordination of traffic in and out of the terminal, in connection with incoming and departing trains. Also, in close cooperation with the terminal, ensure that routines and processes are followed. Such as follow-up of any deviations. You will, together with other traffic managers and colleagues at the office in Gothenburg, develop our business area - rail service.

Examples of work tasks

  • Plan and coordinate traffic in and out of the terminal.

  • Follow up with drivers and haulers in connection with the terminal.

  • Deviations that may occur in connection with the arrival of cargo carriers, together with terminal employees.

  • Ongoing control together with the terminal, of remaining goods at the terminal. 

  • Manage the ongoing contact with customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding daily operations.

  • Do customer visits in the immediate area together with the sales manager.

Your background

  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with logistics.

  • Experience working as a team leader with cargo

  • Previous work with cargo in rail services is meritorious, but not a requirement.

Personal qualities:

  • Great drive to want to be involved and become part of the development of our new business area, rail solutions.

  • Self-propelled with the ability to initiate and implement "projects".

  • Good language skills; minimum Swedish (fluent) och English.

You should also be change-prone, positive, outgoing, structured, easy to communicate with, and have respect for others. We have a busy work environment with many projects going on at the same time all time. In between, it may be relevant with tasks placed outside regular working hours, which are normal weekdays between 8-17. Traveling to work may occur to a small extent.
